Join Discord
Read announcements, rules, server notes, known issues, and mod updates before joining.
Pick a server
Choose Deer Isle for dark coastal progression or TakistanPlus for a hostile desert operation with AI, traders, vehicles, and contested objectives.
Load mods
Search “Republic of Texas” in the DayZ launcher, subscribe to the required mods, and repair the list if anything fails to load.
Read the rules
Team size, raiding, base building, safe-zone, and event rules matter. Read them before you deploy.
Start small
Secure food, water, a blade, medical basics, and a stash. Then start chasing bigger objectives.

Survival priorities

Bandages, tetra, charcoal, saline, and blood bags are worth more than bragging rights when the screen turns gray.

Find clean water, avoid sickness, and keep emergency food. Hunger is undefeated.

Learn landmarks, roads, coastlines, and high-value zones. Wandering confidently in the wrong direction still counts as wandering.

Gunfire, vehicles, doors, infected, and global chat all tell stories. Try not to make yours too short.

If mods or connection fail, repair the list, restart the launcher, then open a Discord support ticket with the exact error.
